Tampa General Hospital (TGH)Lifepoint Health, and USF Health partnered to open and establish TGH Behavioral Health Hospital in Tampa. This is Florida's first freestanding academic behavioral health teaching hospital, which opened in early 2025. Located in the Tampa Medical & Research District (TMRD), the 83,000 square-foot facility offers 96 inpatient beds, specialized services for all ages, and comprehensive care for mental health conditions

How you'll contribute 
A person who excels in this role:

  • Ensures compliance with all state, federal, and regulatory agencies. 

  • Ensures timely, relevant, and accurate quality reports to CEO. 

  • Strives to enhance hospital visibility by involvement in collaborating patient treatment with community resources. 

  • Functions as a liaison between physicians, patients, referral sources, and employees. 

  • Meets or exceeds regulatory compliance in delivery of care. 

  • Collaborates with medical staff on maintaining a high level of service and quality medical care. 

  • Assures adequate supervision and evaluation processes for all staff members. 

  • Provide positive guest relations, ensure an attractive and well maintained physical plant, and ensure a professional and courteous hospital staff. 

  • Express ideas effectively in individual, public, and group situations and works collaboratively to find solutions to problems. Role models competence, enthusiasm, and commitment to quality that is desired from all hospital staff. 

  • Identifies appropriate metrics; creates reports which analyze and communicate effectiveness of efforts. 

  • Supervises hospital departments and department heads as assigned

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a passion for building and fostering positive culture; understanding of local market dynamics; ability to identify opportunities for community education and creating new pathways to ensure patients are reaching the right place at the right time in their healthcare journey. Additional requirements include:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field (master's preferred) 

  • Experience:  Previous experience in health care at the department head level required. A knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles preferred. 

  • License: Valid driver's license and a favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), along with proof of insurance when using own auto. 

  • Additional Requirements:  May be required to work flexible hours. Must show proof of automobile insurance.
