Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Executive Director of Community Physician Group, the Practice Manager serves as the central point of cohesion and forward action for the Practice. Responsible for driving assigned practice or practices priorities, leading people and processes, and effectively communicating with patients and team members. Is pivotal in ensuring assigned CPG practice(s) and team members execute on and attain CPG's mission and vision.
Essential Functions:

- Is the administrative leader for assigned practice or practices who is responsible for implementing the organizational and departmental mission, values, and goals.
- Provides daily oversight of operational and patient care and throughput management. Works to continually refine operational efficiency and effectiveness. Provides direct patient care as needed in respective clinical areas in accordance with licensure and competency.
- Oversees the development and implementation of goals and objectives.
- Develops and implements new office procedures as necessary to improve office flow and overall operations.
- Manages the daily operations of assigned practice or practices, including staff scheduling, cash reconciliation, charge entry, and operational checks and balances.
- Responsible for training and orientation functions that are employee-centered, competency-based and timely.
- Administrative responsibilities include performance reviews, quality improvement programs, professional development for staff, and preparation and maintenance of regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for aspects of staff management, departmental management, and for creating a professional practice environment that focuses on the customer.
- Reviews operational budget and expenditures and works to ensure the practice stays within the budget parameters.
- Works collaboratively to develop and implement policies and procedures to comply with rules, regulations, state and federal law; ensures practice(s) align to support quality patient care and outcomes. Ensures staff meet required policies, competencies, and/or certifications to work in department.
- Accountable for improvement of the patient experience and scores and ensure safety measures are in place for patients and the department.
- Attends leadership, medical group leadership, applicable service line, and departmental meetings as required.
- Collaborates with internal customers including team members, physicians, advanced practitioners, diagnostic service, quality, IT to improve operational efficiency, ease of access, patient flow, experience, and quality of care.
- Responsible for communicating the above to the staff and other members of the healthcare and administrative teams.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare (or related field). Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum Work Experience: Five years of clinic practice experience in private or integrated system environment preferred.
- Successful progression of leadership skills and accountability.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional and respectful manner with employees, patients, physicians, vendors, and outside contacts.
- Ability to effectively complete assigned work while experiencing multiple interruptions.
- Ability to manage complex and multiple tasks within assigned time period.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction, perform detailed assignments, and project management.
- Must be able to compile, analyze practice operational, financial, and metric information with accuracy.
- Must maintain confidential information.
