Position Summary: Staff participates in provision of quality of prepared food including texture modified and therapeutic diets according to the facility menu. Assists in assuring proper receiving, storage, preparation, serving, sanitation and cleaning procedures are followed. Staff cleans work area, serving area, and dining area. | ||
Qualifications | ||
Education: High school diploma, GED or combination of education and relevant work experience preferred. | ||
Experience: Previous experience in food service, hospital experience preferred. | ||
License: Valid driver’s license preferred. | ||
Additional Requirements: May be required to work flexible hours and overtime. Food Safety/Sanitation certification preferred. | ||

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES | ||
Collaborates with the Dietary Manager and Registered Dietician for menus and patient specific needs. | ||
Keeps and rotates food/consumables stored per health department and hospital guidelines. Keeps rotation (FIFO) standards, no expired food products on premise. Properly dates and labels all food. | ||
Maintains accurate HACCP programs, checks food temperatures from delivery through consumption. | ||
Practices sanitation and food safety guidelines for appropriate food handling procedures, including use of service utensils and gloves. Ensures all dishes and food preparation utensils are cleaned in accordance to safety and sanitation guidelines. | ||
