Essential Functions:
- Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
- Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
- Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
- Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
- Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
Education:
- If this position is filled by a Medical Assistant:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Graduate of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
- If this position is filled by a LPN:
Must be a graduate of a Practical Nursing Program. - If this position is filled by a Radiology Tech:
Associate's degree in Radiology is required - If this position is filled by an Imaging Tech:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
License:
- If this position is filled by a Medical Assistant, must have & maintain current certification for a Medical Assistant.
- If this position is filled by a LPN, must have & maintain current LPN License
- If this position is filled by a Radiology Tech, must have & maintain current certification with ARRT.
- If this position is filled by an Imaging Tech, must have & maintain limited x-ray operation license or ARRT
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
