Our team provides advanced surgical care that you expect to find at a big city hospital - coupled with small-town compassion and personalized care. We provide a wide range of inpatient and outpatient surgical services. We offer Bariatrics, Colon & Rectal Surgery, Endoscopy, General Surgery, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology (ENT), Podiatry, and Urology. Our Surgical Services operaes six main OR suites supporting both inpatient and outpatient procedures with efficiency and safety. Across all services areas, approximately 80 full-time equivalents (FTEs) deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.

 

How you'll contribute  

A Director who excels in this role: 

  • Provides leadership and operational oversight for Main OR, Outpaitent Surgery, PACU, Pre-Op, Post-OP, and Endoscopy 

  • Monitors key performance metrics, including case volume, turnover time, block utilization, and on-time starts.

  • Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization. 

  • Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives. 

  • Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives. 

  • Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits. 

  • Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth. 

  • Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

  • Regular and reliable attendance. 

 

What we're looking for: 

 
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include: 

  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices. 

  • Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, and ensure quality standards. Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff. 

  • BLS Required  

  • ACLS & PALS Preferred 

  • PACU, PRE-OP, and ENDO Experience Preffered 

  • Minimum 5 years of Surgical Director Experience Preferred 

 

Schedule: FULLTIME DAYS 6:30 AM - 4:00 PM
