How you'll contribute
A Director of Physical Therapy who excels in this role:
- Directs the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
- Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical,
administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization. - Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
- Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
- Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.
- Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
- Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
- Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors.
- Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information.
- Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
- Skilled in the application of policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.
- Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality standards.
- Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff.

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a bachelors degree or higher in related field. Additional requirements include:
- Education: Doctorate Degree in related field preferred; Bachelors and or Masters required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in leadership in related field
- Certifications: BLS required within 30 days of hire
- Licenses: Current Kentucky Physical Therapy, Occupational or Speech Language Pathology Licensure required
