The Director, Quality Operations is responsible for providing oversight in planning and implementing the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement program to meet the needs of the Lifepoint Rehabilitation hospitals.
How you'll contribute
A Director, Quality Operations who excels in this role:
Process Improvement: Develops and implements initiatives to enhance the Quality Management System (QMS), streamline operations, and support continuous improvement programs LinkedIn.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Builds relationships with functional teams, customers, suppliers, and certification bodies to ensure alignment, compliance, and quality enhancements LinkedIn.
Compliance & Audits: Oversees internal audits, ensure documentation completeness, and participate in external audits or inspections Velvet Jobs+1.
Risk Management: Identifies, evaluates, and escalates quality or compliance risks related to SOPs, training, equipment, and processes careers.kedrion.com.
Reporting & Communication: Coordinates and documents management reviews of the QMS, communicate findings and action plans to stakeholders, and provide feedback to global quality teams
Monitors regional Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), identify systemic quality issues, and lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to improve processes and reduce Cost of Poor Quality.
Coaches, mentors, and develops Site Quality Managers and other quality staff, aligning them with regional and global quality goals
Communicates Lifepoint Rehabilitation mission, vision, and value. Promotes and motivates staff members to implement department and hospital operational, programmatic and other plans.
Participates in planning and creating the IRF Wide strategic quality plan, and other organizational plans and policies to achieve the mission and vision of the IRFs.
Provides oversight with investigations and root cause analyses and sentinel events.
Participates in developing content and providing orientation, in-service training, continuing education, to ensure staff is competent to provide services.
Performs periodic assessment of all facilities to ensure consistency activities.
Promotes a culture of patient safety.
Maintains awareness of changes in the regulations and requirements by accrediting bodies.
Oversees preparation for review by regulatory agencies.
Participates in survey readiness assessments and subsequent monitoring of hospital actions.
Participates in other onsite assessments specific to the needs of the IRFs.
Functions as a consultant, as appropriate, performance improvement activities.
Provides oversight in risk management and safety activities.
Provides support and assistance to other members of the C-suite as indicated.
Ongoing review of but not limited to IRF data, documentation, action plan progress, and compliance with committee documentation and structure.

What we're looking for
Education: Graduate of accredited RN School of Nursing or other Clinical Degree; Masters Degree preferred.
Licenses/Certification: Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) and Healthcare Accreditation Program Certified (HACP) preferred.
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years' experience in Hospital Management.
Knowledge of current state, federal and local laws and regulations.
Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements.
Ability to provide up to 80% travel dependent upon the needs of the IRF division.
