How you'll contribute 

A Licensed Electrician who excels in this role:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, fixtures, and hardware in buildings according to code.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment, machinery, and building systems to ensure reliable operation.
  • Install conduits, pipes, and circuit breakers, and connect wiring to electrical panels and powerlines safely.
  • Test and inspect electrical systems to ensure proper functionality, code compliance, and safety.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, replacing wiring, conduit, or circuit breakers as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal and external tradespeople to perform utility and structural repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and fire/safety-related systems and equipment.
  • Exercise critical thinking and decisive judgment while working independently in high-stress situations.
  • Safely perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing ladders, pulling wires, moving equipment, and distinguishing color-coded wiring for proper installation.

What we're looking for

  • High school diploma or equivalent - Required; 
  • Associate's Degree or vocational/technical trades training - Preferred.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a valid Electrician's license within 6 months of employment.
  • Minimum of 1 year of technical trades or directly related work experience.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to exercise decisive judgment independently.
  • Comfortable working in high-stress situations and taking appropriate action as needed.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and following established codes and procedures.
