How you'll contribute 

 An Environmental Services Aide who excels in this role:

  • Is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in all areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, public areas, and offices. This role supports infection control and contributes to a positive patient experience through cleanliness and organization.
  • Must maintain professionalism in interactions with patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Clean patient rooms, restrooms, lounges, offices, corridors, walls, and windows according to daily schedule.
  • Vacuum, sweep, mop, scrub, and shine floors; replenish paper and soap products; clean mirrors, sinks, and toilets.
  • Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor scrubbers.
  • Collect and remove trash from all areas of the facility daily.
  • Stock linens throughout the hospital to ensure unit readiness.
  • Adhere to all infection control policies and report safety hazards to supervisors.
  • Must maintain professionalism in interactions with patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and the ability to follow cleaning protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

What we're looking for

Education: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
     

Experience: 

  • Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred; cleaning or housekeeping experience strongly preferred.
     

Skills: 

  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
     

Schedule: Weekends only 8-hour shifts with some coverage options on other days

Salary Range:  $24 fixed PRN rate
