Exercise Physiologist

Schedule: Full-time, East Hills location | Day shifts (Monday to Friday | 7 AM - 3 PM) + no weekends & no holidays.

We are a 3-person team who works with the outpatient cardiac rehab population.

How you'll contribute  
An Exercise Physiologist who excels in this role: 

• Directs and organizes the exercise programs of the department including providing input into budget planning, expenses, polices, and product usage.
• Directs assigned personnel including interviewing and orienting new staff.
• Ensures appropriate procedures are followed in regards to exercise prescriptions and educates staff regarding clients individual exercise prescriptions.
• Continuously assists with assessing employee/student performance and coaching or counseling to maximize employee/student capabilities and performance.
• Oversees the installation, operation, and maintenance of rehabilitation equipment.
• Participates in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures to meet JCAHO/AACVPR/ACSM requirements.
• Provides patient and/or family with instruction and education relevant to patient's condition.
• Evaluates patient care outcomes, program-wide ensuring that records, reports, forms, logs, patient charges and other documentation are properly prepared, processed and maintained.

What we're looking for  
Applicants should possess a four-year degree in Exercise Physiology, or an Exercise Science related field. Additional requirements include: 

• Certification as a Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist by the American College of Sports Medicine required or must be obtained within twelve months of hire
• BLS certification required, or obtained within first week of hire. 
• ACLS required or must be obtained within 12 months from date of hire.
