Position Summary:

The Financial Analyst position is responsible for various accounting and financial reporting functions with respect to regular monthly closing procedures, data collection/management and weekly cash reconciliation. Additionally, the Financial Analyst will support the CFO/Director of Finance in other areas such as cash forecasting, debt covenant compliance and other treasury/finance initiatives. Responsibilities include:

  • Monthly Financial Management: Prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and report key financial metrics to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

  • Data Collection and Management: Gather, validate, and manage data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and integrity for reporting and analysis.

  • Consultation and Support: Collaborate with decision-makers to understand business needs and provide actionable insights that support strategic initiatives.

  • Cost and Statistical Reporting: Deliver cost analysis and statistical reports to assist management in making informed decisions.

  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the finance team and organizational goals.

    • Exhibit an understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in financial analysis, accounting, or related field.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in Excel and willingness to learn advanced functions.

    • Strong data analysis capabilities and familiarity with financial systems.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex data and provide meaningful insights.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Continuous Improvement: Desire to enhance processes for greater accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness.
