Financial Counselor - Make a Meaningful Impact in Patient Care
At Rock Springs Behavioral Hospital, our team is dedicated to changing lives-and our Financial Counselors play a vital role in that mission. As a trusted resource for patients and families, you'll help navigate the financial side of care with clarity, compassion, and confidence.
What You'll Do:
- Guide patients and families through financial responsibilities with empathy and transparency
- Verify insurance coverage and clearly explain benefits and out-of-pocket costs
- Help patients understand their options, including payment plans and funding resources
- Collaborate with patients to create fair, manageable financial solutions
- Ensure accurate and timely insurance verification and documentation

What You Bring:
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills

- Knowledge of insurance types (HMO, PPO, Medicare, Medicaid, commercial) preferred
- Passion for helping others and making a difference
What we're looking for
Applicants should have a high school diploma. Additional requirements include:
- Previous experience in healthcare collections or a related field, or any combination of education, training, or experience in health care business office setting preferred.
- Valid driver's license preferred
- May be required to work flexible hours and overtime. Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
