Position Summary:
The Growth and Outreach Liaison will assist the Director of Business Development in all areas of marketing, outreach, and public relations. This role focuses on growing physician relationships, increasing patient volume, supporting community education initiatives, and enhancing overall hospital visibility within the community.
Reports To: Director of Business Development
FLSA: Exempt
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required or 10+ years of experience in a related field
Minimum Work Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in planning, advertising, marketing, or physician-related activities
- Experience working with healthcare providers and community outreach strongly preferred
Required Skills:
- Strong critical thinking skills and decisive judgment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to various personalities
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) and related applications
Essential Functions:
- Assists with marketing and outreach activities to promote hospital services
- Supports retention and growth of physician and referral relationships
- Calls on local physician offices to educate on hospital services
- Identifies and assists in resolving customer and service-related issues
- Assists in coordinating and executing special events, including community outreach programs and hospital-sponsored activities
- Organizes and coordinates physician-related activities and engagement initiatives
- Plans and coordinates monthly community education programs, including speaker selection
- Assists Director of Volunteers in growing volunteer and Senior Friends programs
- Participates in Employee Recognition Committee meetings and follows up on assignments and documentation
- Provides internal communication related to special projects and events
- Assists with coordination and participation in hospital events, employee activities, exhibits, and expos
