Full Time, Monday-Friday 9 am - 4pm, weekend (every 4th-5th weekend) and holiday rotation

Position Summary: 

The Medical Laboratory Assistant will perform basic laboratory duties to include phlebotomy, along with other specimen collection, and waived testing. The Medical Laboratory Assistant is responsible for ordering, processing, and distributing laboratory specimens; Duties also include: Review of pending reports, manifests, etc. for outstanding lab results; assisting other lab personnel with specimen storage and retrieval, ensuring Turn Around Times (TATs) are met; and maintaining inventory for phlebotomy services, reference lab supplies, and departmental office supplies.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent 

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for performing out-patient and in-patient phlebotomy and specimen collection
• Responsible for processing specimens that arrive in the laboratory.
