What We're Looking For

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides hands-on nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). This includes delivering treatments, monitoring patient progress, supporting care planning, and ensuring safety and comfort in alignment with individualized patient needs.

Essential Functions

  • Administer medications safely, accurately, and based on patient age and clinical condition.
  • Minimize potential for medication errors by following proper medication administration procedures.
  • Assist the RN with initial assessments and patient reassessments per policy.
  • Identify and implement appropriate rehabilitation nursing interventions.
  • Perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments under RN supervision.
  • Deliver care based on patient response to treatment and update the interdisciplinary plan accordingly.
  • Assess and reassess pain; use appropriate pain management techniques and educate patients and families.
  • Perform all patient care tasks in a manner that promotes patient safety and reduces medical errors.
  • Develop and implement individualized teaching plans based on patient and family learning needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Applicants should have a current state LPN license from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse program.
  • Experience: Minimum of six months of Med/Surg experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • License: Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse.
  • Certifications: CPR/BLS certification required; IV Certification highly preferred or obtained within 6 months.
  • Strong clinical skills and attention to detail.
  • Compassionate approach and commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Dedication to continuous learning and professional development.
