We are a busy, well-established Family Practice with an expanding Provider list in need of a caring, dedicated care giver for our patients.  We treat patients ranging from birth and up, focusing on both acute and chronic medical conditions. We are looking for someone with experience in patient care and a positive attitude.  We strive for a family-like atmosphere with supportive staff and care about our employees individually while maintaining high

 

How you'll contribute 

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who excels in this role:

  • Assists Providers with preparation and information documentation for the patient's visit including obtaining vitals, medical history and other pertinent information from the patient.  

  • Prepares exam rooms for patients.  

  • Assists Providers with procedures as directed by the Provider.  

  • Assists with collection of lab samples.  

  • Gives injections, administers meds, and provides wound care as ordered by Provider.  

  • Documents all care and education in medical record.

What we're looking for 
Applicants should have a current North Carolina or compact state Licensed Practical Nurse license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.  Additional requirements include:

  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.

  • AHA ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire. 
  • One year of experience preferred
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
