How you'll contribute
A Licensed Practical Nurse who excels in this role:
LPN-Clinic As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice
Performs assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
May administer medication.
Documents patient care given.
Assists RN with development of plan of care.
Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Schedule appointments and procedures as ordered by the provider.
Obtains insurance re-authorizations as requested for testing and scheduled procedures.
Non-Essential Functions Attends clinic meetings. Maintains a clean and safe working environment. Reports all incidents, hazards, drug interactions, and initiate appropriate action. Completes safety instructional programs.
Assist other team members when time permits.

What we're looking for
Education:
- Graduate of an approved practical nursing program License: Current LPN/PN to practice in the Commonwealth of VA and be in good standing with the Board of health Professions
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required one month from hire date
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 1 year of hire
- Handle with Care to be received within 30 days of orientation and kept annually.
License:
- Current LPN/PN to practice in the state of KY and be in good standing with the Board of health Professions
