Position Summary:
Operates, repairs, and maintains stationary equipment including boilers, generators, and refrigeration in buildings, plants or industrial facilities. Ensures that equipment is operating safely and within established limits.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent - Required
- Must have or obtain a 3rd Class Boilers License within 6 months of hire. Licenses in other related trades are not required but encouraged.
- Minimum of 1-year work experience in this or a similar field.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Basic understanding of tool and the proper way to use them, along with a solid mechanical aptitude.
- The ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
Essential Functions:
Conducts monitoring and failure analysis of meters, gauges and controls to determine the need for repair or replacement of parts.
Develops, maintains and secures a spare parts inventory of basic maintenance hand and power tools.
Recommends purchase of maintenance tools, equipment and supplies as required.
Assists engineers in developing methods and procedures to improve facility efficiency and work flow.
Oversee and review the work of lower-level technicians.
Attends meetings as required.
Installs, tests, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, and systems as scheduled or needed.
Performs utility and structural repairs as needed, alone or in collaboration with internal/external tradespersons.
Inspects, tests, and maintains records for all fire risers, sprinklers, extinguishers, fire doors, and other fire/safety-related equipment and systems.
Perform other duties as assigned.
