Performs skilled maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other physical structures. Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs facilities mechanical components and electrical systems in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies.

Preferred journeyman license in either plumbing, HVAC, electrical or other relevant skilled trade
Completion of at least 2 approved trade related training courses.
Must obtain 3rd Class Boilers License, HazMat Certification, and Ice Machine Repair Certification within 6 months by incumbent employees.
Minimum Work Experience
Minimum of 5-years work experience in this or a similar field.
Essential Functions
Develops, maintains and secures a spare parts inventory of basic maintenance hand and power tools.

Recommends purchase of maintenance tools, equipment and supplies as required.

Assists engineers in developing methods and procedures to improve facility efficiency and work flow.

Oversee and review the work of lower-level technicians.

Attends meetings as required.

Installs, tests, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, and systems as scheduled or needed.
Performs utility and structural repairs as needed, alone or in collaboration with internal/external tradespersons.
Inspects, tests, and maintains records for all fire risers, sprinklers, extinguishers, fire doors, and other fire/safety-related equipment and systems.
Moves items within/between locations and from/to storage.
