Job Summary:
Maintenance Engineer performs preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, systems and structures throughout the facility.

Essential Functions: Installs, tests, maintains, operates and repairs machinery, equipment, and systems as scheduled or needed.
Performs major and minor maintenance work.
Performs utility and structural repairs as needed, alone or in collaboration with internal/external tradespersons.
Assists with inspection, testing, and maintenance of all fire risers, sprinklers, extinguishers, fire doors and other fire/safety-related equipment and systems.
Performs preventative maintenance procedures on equipment, building systems, and utility systems as assigned.
Moves items within/between locations and from/to storage.
Assembles and relocates furniture.
Performs other job duties as assigned.

Education : High school diploma or equivalent Required
Minimum Work Experience
Two years institutional/commercial maintenance experience required
Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and/or electronic systems required
Licenses: Michigan Driver's License
