Last year, Centerpoint - Winchester broke ground on an expansion for the intensive care unit (ICU). The expansion signifies a 75% increase in capacity for the ICU, adding six beds to the eight that are currently available. The new construction also includes the expansion of an ACU unit and build-out space for a new surgical suite, enabling Winchester to expand surgery as the needs of the community demand.
How you'll contribute
A Manager (RN) - Advanced Care & Intensive Care Unit who excels in this role:
Manages the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality standards. Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff.
- Manages the daily operations of the assigned department or function to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.
- Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
- Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management.
- Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
- Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations.
- Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
- Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments. May provide patient care when necessary.
- Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
- Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
- Associates Degree in Nursing, required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred
- Current RN to practice in the state of KY
- Certifications: BCLS; ACLS
