Wilson Immediate Care provides services for a wide variety of needs including care for sudden and ongoing illnesses, minor acute injuries, MRO services, on-site X-Ray and lab services, and more. Our physicians have a combined 80+ years of experience and all are board certified in Internal or Family Medicine.

How you'll contribute 

The Medical Assistant works alongside Providers to assist in the treatment of patients. This role prepares and documents information for patient visits, including obtaining vital signs, medical history, and other pertinent clinical information. The position also performs routine clinic office functions such as paperwork, scheduling, phones, and insurance authorizations as needed.

  • Assist MD/NP with direct patient care
  • Prepare exam rooms and equipment
  • Obtain and document patient medical history, vital signs, height, weight, etc.
  • Schedule appointments and procedures as ordered by the Provider
  • Process prescription refills as authorized
  • Obtain insurance pre-authorizations for testing and procedures

What we're looking for.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of clinic experience preferred
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant 
  • BLS certification required (or must obtain within first week of hire)
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced clinic
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
