How you'll contribute
A Medical Staff Coordinator who excels in this role:
- Manages provider credentialing and hospital privileging processes.
- Coordinates FPPE/OPPE evaluations for all providers.
- Organizes and facilitates new provider onboarding and orientation.
- Schedules and manages physician call schedules and distributes updates.
- Supports accreditation surveys (TJC, CMS, and other regulatory bodies).
- Maintains provider communication channels and notification boards.
- Sets up and manages provider timekeeping systems; troubleshoots issues.
- Oversees locum tenens recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and billing.
- Tracks provider expenses, gratuities, and compliance reporting.
- Coordinates medical staff meetings and maintains committee records.
- Maintains and updates medical staff bylaws and committee assignments.
- Assists with provider recruitment efforts.
- Monitors and escalates patient/staff complaints involving providers.
- Tracks provider licensure updates via NPDB.
- Plans and coordinates CME events.

What we're looking for - Applicants should have a High school diploma.
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field is strongly preferred.
- Medical knowledge/terminology is strongly preferred.
- At least 1 year experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
