Sovah Health is a regional health care delivery system with 2 hospital campuses - Danville and Martinsville. Each facility has a 24/7 Emergency Room, Outpatient Imaging Center, and over 20 primary and specialty care physician clinics. Our Danville location is also a teaching hospital that trains medical students and physician residents specializing in family and internal medicine.

How you'll contribute

A Mobility Technician who excels in this role:

• Assists clinical staff and membesr of the interprofessional healthcare team, as assigned, under direct supervision of clinical staff within inpatient setting.
• Performs delegated activities in patient mobility and functional activities, transports patients across treatment areas.
• Performs basic clerical functions. Organizes materials and supplies in the appropriate work areas prior to patient arrival, including but not limited to cleaning/disinfecting, gathering equipment.

What we're looking for 

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent. 

• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required prior to hire.
• 1 year of Patient or Nursing Care Assistant in an acute care or long-term care hospital setting OR 6 months PT/OT/Rehab Therapy experience OR currently enrolled Nursing school students who have completed first clinical rotation is highly preferred.
