How you'll contribute

A Medical Assistant, who excels in this role:

• Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors.

• Initiates and discontinues monitoring equipment on admission, transfer or discharge.

• Performs clerical duties related to admission, transfer, discharge and documentation of patient information in the central system.

• Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings to nursing staff.

• Maintains ongoing observation of all patients' cardiac rhythms and notifies nursing/providers of any rate/rhythm changes.

• Measures and interprets heart rhythm and documents as part of patient's record per departmental standards.

What we're looking for- a compassionate monitor tech with a deep understanding of advanced patient monitoring.

Applicants should have:

• High school diploma required.

• Basic Life Support within 3 months of hire.

• Successful completion of Telemetry Education Course within 3 months of hire.

• Previous monitor technician and/or direct patient care experience preferred.
