HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE
You'll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator. This position is responsible for supporting the needs of the department with a focus on clinical, operational, and administrative excellence.
NURSE EDUCATOR:
Develops in-services and continuing education for nursing and auxiliary staff of the organization.
FLSA: Non-exempt
Education: Bachelor's Degree Nursing (BSN):
Required; Master's Degree: Preferred
Licenses: Registered Nurse
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Instructor; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Instructor
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Essential Functions
Provides educational offerings and materials based on the identified needs of the staff and the Nursing Education Council.
Serves as a knowledge base and resource to consult with and educate nursing and medical staff, students and ancillary staff members.
Coordinate, teach, and facilitate certification courses (BLS, ACLS, PALS, and other courses as requested and trained/capable to teach).
