Patient Services Representative (Full-Time)

Central Scheduling 

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8A-5P

How you'll contribute:

The Patient Services Representative facilitates the patient referral process and obtains appropriate pre-certifications as requested by the provider(s). They are responsible for greeting patients; check-in, check-out, scheduling and managing telephones and messages. Collects and posts co-pays, deductibles and past due patient balances at the time of service. 

A Patient Service Representative (PSR) who excels in this role:

  • Performs scheduling, registration, patient pre-admission and admission at the physician practice

  • Performs reception and discharge functions.

  • Accurately obtains complete and accurate patient demographic information.

  • Performs proper, compliant patient liability collection techniques before, during and after date of service.

Qualifications and requirements:

Applicants should have high school diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree is preferred. Additional requirements include:

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.  

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
