Job Summary
Plant Operations Worker Position Summary
The Plant Operations Worker is responsible for performing maintenance and repair work to ensure the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of hospital buildings and systems. This role supports daily plant operations and contributes to regulatory compliance and facility improvement.
Please note that this position will split time between two hospitals. One is located in Waukesha, WI (Rehab Hospital of Wisconsin) and one is located in Oak Creek, WI (Rehab Hospital of Oak Creek).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Report daily to the Director of Plant Operations on facility conditions and progress of assigned tasks.
Support the implementation of quality and productivity standards for equipment and building maintenance.
Collaborate with other departments to schedule work, set priorities, and coordinate materials and supplies.
Perform maintenance repairs, remodeling, minor construction, and equipment installations.
Assist with facility fire and safety inspections and implement safety protocols in coordination with the Safety and Security Departments.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Information
Must be able to operate independently and handle a variety of building systems and equipment.
Collaboration with clinical and administrative departments is expected for facility support.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
Education: High School Diploma required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance; hospital setting preferred.
