Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday rotating 6 AM - 2:30 PM and 6: 30 AM - 3:00 PM, + no on-call, weekends very rare (typically if machine is down multiple days during the week), & no holidays.

Radiology/Imaging Services unit provides high-quality diagnostic and interventional imaging services, including wide range of medical imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and other imaging techniques to diagnose and treat various medical conditions. Valuing and ensuring patient care, patient comfort, safety, and adherence to imaging protocols are paramount while collaborating with healthcare professionals, quality control, and the adoption of new technologies while maintaining quality control measures for equipment and processes, adhering to strict safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards are key functions.
How you'll contribute
A Radiation Therapist who excels in this role:
Administers radiation therapy treatments, interpreting and executing these plans as defined in the treatment protocols.
Insures proper positioning and exposure to patients according to the dosimetry planning and physician prescription.
Maintains the required treatment records.
Performs simulations and assist with CT simulations when available.
Reviews weekly physician reports as per technical maintenance and continuance of care.
Fabricates electron shielding blocks as per radiation oncologist orders.
Takes portal images / cone beam imaging using linear accelerators on board imaging system for simulation in order to check position of treatment beams with respect to patient anatomy.Also perform weekly portal imaging as dictated by the Oncologist.
Performs simple dosimetry calculations and checks under the guidelines of the radiation physicist/dosimetrist.
Performs quality assurance on patient charts under the direction of the Medical Physicist.
Schedule patients for daily treatment/simulation.
Prepares charts in anticipation of chart rounds and quality assurance weekly.
Maintains stock as needed in the technical section.
Closes out patient chart in ARIA when patients complete treatment.
Perform daily QA and spot checks prior to treating patients.
Assists the radiation physicist/dosimetrist with non-complicated procedures.

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a completed Radiation Therapy Technology training at an Approved program by the American Society of Radiologic Technology. Additional requirements include:
- Complete Radiation Therapist certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within one year of employment or have met requirements to work as a Radiation Therapist in the state of PA.
- BLS certification.
