How you'll contribute

A Clinical Bone Densitometrist (DXA) who excels in this role:

  • Reviews patient history and physician orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient understanding and cooperation.
  • Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with quality. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues.
  • Scanning and Faxing patient report.
  • Monitors patient condition.
  • Prepares equipment with Daily QC. Trouble shoots, resolves, and or reports any equipment issues appropriately.
  • Implements safety standards following ALARA concept.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of linens for patient use.
  • Maintain clean environment for patient care.

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a current state Radiologic Technologist license and possess a degree from an approved course in Radiologic Technology. Additional requirements include:

  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.

  • Two years Bone Density/X-Ray experience preferred.

  • Ability to preform Bone Density exams with dedicated equipment.

  • Must be a member of American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registry eligible and maintain registry once received.

  • Desirable to belong to national, state and/or local Radiography/Bone Density societies.

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

  • Proficient in use of computers.
