How you'll contribute
A Clinical Bone Densitometrist (DXA) who excels in this role:
- Reviews patient history and physician orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient understanding and cooperation.
- Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with quality. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues.
- Scanning and Faxing patient report.
- Monitors patient condition.
- Prepares equipment with Daily QC. Trouble shoots, resolves, and or reports any equipment issues appropriately.
- Implements safety standards following ALARA concept.
- Maintain appropriate levels of linens for patient use.
- Maintain clean environment for patient care.

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a current state Radiologic Technologist license and possess a degree from an approved course in Radiologic Technology. Additional requirements include:

Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.

Two years Bone Density/X-Ray experience preferred.

Ability to preform Bone Density exams with dedicated equipment.

Must be a member of American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registry eligible and maintain registry once received.

Desirable to belong to national, state and/or local Radiography/Bone Density societies.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Proficient in use of computers.
