Receptionist/HR Assistant
Position Summary
As our receptionist/HR Assistant, you will manage incoming calls, greet patients and visitors, and support the administrative staff. This is a very important role, because you are the first person patients and visitors see when they arrive at our hospital, and we want them to feel confident and welcome!
Essential Functions
- Answer and transfer incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally.
- Greet patients and visitors, make them feel welcome!
- Assist the HR director with preparing documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows-based systems.
- Provide administrative support to the leadership team for miscellaneous projects.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance to represent the hospital to board members, medical staff, visitors, and the community.
- Stay organized and carry out duties independently, using sound judgment and analytical skills.
Additional Information
Requires a positive, team-oriented attitude and outstanding interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and use downtime productively.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in an administrative or receptionist role preferred
Skills: Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications. Customer service experience or aptitude required to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and the public.
