Our Medical/Surgical Team is proud to offer a dynamic and supportive environment for healthcare professionals. Our Medical/Surgical Unit features 30 beds and a collaborative team which includes RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and a dedicated unit secretary. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6, and CNAs support care with a 1:10 ratio, ensuring a balanced workload and strong teamwork. We also have a Telemetry Technician stationed on the Med/Surg unit, just outside the nursing station, who monitors all patients on telemetry or cardiac monitors across our inpatient units and Emergency Department-providing an extra layer of safety and support.
How you'll contribute
A Registered Nurse who excels in this role:
Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
What we're looking for
Applicants should have a current North Carolina state or compact state RN license. Additional requirements include:
Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire
ACLS is required within 90 days of hire
Associate's degree in nursing is required (Bachelor's degree is preferred)
One year of RN experience in a health care setting is preferred
