More about our team 

The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, opened in 2020, features one procedure room and four holding bays designed to support efficient, patient centered care. Our team includes highly skilled Interventional Cardiologists who perform a broad spectrum of procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, pacemaker implantation, peripheral interventions, pulmonary embolism treatments, and carotid interventions. Utilizing state of the art technology, the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory enhances our facility's ability to deliver timely, lifesaving cardiac and vascular care to the community.

 

How you'll contribute 

A Cath Lab RN who excels in this role:

Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Supervises, teaches, and delegates to other personnel in the performance of activities related to nursing care.

  • Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.

  • Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment, and evaluation overall plan daily for effectiveness.

  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, provider, patient and family following chain of command as appropriate.

  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient protecting patient's rights.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

  • Must be willing to take call shifts

  • RN license in state of KY or compact state

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing Required

  • ACLS, BCLS, Required

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing Preferred

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
