How you'll contribute
A Registered Nurse (RN) Charge Nurse who excels in this role:
As a Charge Nurse, you will serve as a frontline leader and critical support for nursing staff, physicians, and providers. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct patient care and clinical oversight during assigned shifts
- Prioritizing and coordinating patient care activities to meet unit demands
- Assisting with admissions, discharges, and care planning
- Serving as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing team members
- Monitoring patient conditions and facilitating timely communication with providers
- Ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to safety standards
- Collaborating with nursing leadership to support quality, safety, and staff performance initiatives
- Functioning as a point of contact in the absence of the Chief Nursing Officer or Nursing leadership

What we're looking for
Education:
- Associate's degree required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Certifications:
- CPR/BCLS certification required
- ACLS preferred
- CRRN preferred
Licenses:
- Registered Nurse licensed to work in the state of Pennsylvania
Experience:
Minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
Minimum two years of experience in rehabilitative or acute care settings
Demonstrated leadership ability and effective team coordination skills
Excellent oral and written communication abilities
Proficiency in EMR systems and basic computer skills
Mandatory child and adult abuse certification required
