Schedule: FULLTIME DAYS 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital is a 66-bed, inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital jointly operated by Lifepoint Rehabilitation and Mercy. Located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, we serve our community by helping patients on their journey to recovery after serious illness or injury. How you'll contribute  

The Charge Nurse leads and supports nursing staff to deliver safe, high-quality, and compliant patient care, providing clinical mentorship, documentation oversight, and coordination of staff assignments based on patient needs: 

 

  • Completes routine audits to assure accurate and timely documentation in Cerner and UDS in order to meet compliance standards  

  • Assist the Nurse Manager in annual ebaluations by providing feedback on clinical performance 

  • Identifies educational opportunities for the nursing staff based on clinical needs identified and verbalized by nursing staff  

  • Educates and monitors all staff regarding accurate and complete QI documentation to capture accurate burden of care  

  • Assists in QI education for licensed nursing staff  

  • Provide UDS documentation/orientation training for newly hired licensed nurses. 

  • Conduct remediation sessions for nurses with documentation deficiencies. 

  • Participate actively in Continuous Quality and Performance Improvement (CQPI) efforts. 

  • Ensure the nursing team delivers care that maximizes patient safety and meets all care standards. 

  • Assist with nursing staff assignments based on patient acuity and staff competency. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

 

What we're looking for 

 

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include: 

  • BLS Required  

  • One year of Rehab experience preferred 

  • CRRN Preferred  

  • Leadership Experience Preferred  

 

Schedule: FULLTIME DAYS 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
