Registered Nurse - Endo
Schedule: 6:30-7:00 AM start time with rotating call (weekends and a few weekdays)
Call Requirement: Must be able to arrive within 30 minutes

*Must be able to meet a 30 minute Call Time*
Our Endoscopy unit provides care for a wide range of procedures, including:
- Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)
- Colonoscopy
- Sigmoidoscopy
- Bronchoscopy
- GI bleed procedures
The unit typically operates 1-2 procedure rooms several days per week out of the Operating Rooms, maintaining a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio to ensure high-quality, focused patient care.
How you will contribute
A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:
- Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
Documents patient care given. - Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What we are looking for
Applicants should have a current VA RN license
Bachelors degree preferred but not required
Additional requirements include:
· American Heart Association Basic Life Support
· Experience in acute care hospital, preferred
· American Heart Association ACLS within 6 months of hire
