More about our team

The Administrative Supervisor plays a critical leadership role across the hospital during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays when department management is not on site. This position supports all clinical and non-clinical departments by coordinating staffing, responding to emergencies, assisting with patient flow, and serving as the primary point of escalation for staff, patients, and families.

You'll collaborate closely with bedside teams, providers, and the Administrator on Call to ensure safe operations and a positive patient experience. This role also supports key functions such as emergency response, OR case scheduling, Employee Health needs, and coordination of deceased patient disposition.

How you'll contribute

An Administrative Supervisor who excels in this role:

  • Evaluates staffing needs across the organization and assigns nursing staff based on schedules, staffing grids, and patient acuity
  • Monitors, responds to, and reports patient safety issues
  • Uses crucial conversation skills to address employee and patient/family concerns
  • Provides clinical expertise during medical and behavioral health emergencies
  • Acts as Incident Commander during emergencies until reassigned
  • Assists staff and providers in locating needed supplies or equipment
  • Schedules OR cases and notifies on‑call staff as needed
  • Performs Employee Health duties when required
  • Represents the hospital to the community alongside the Administrator on Call
  • Completes shift reports and communicates per policy
  • Coordinates disposition of deceased persons, including DOAs, Medical Examiner cases, and organ procurement situations
  • Provides direct patient care when needed

A confident, experienced Registered Nurse who can lead with calm, clarity, and clinical expertise in fast‑moving situations. Someone who thrives in a hospital‑wide leadership role and can support staff, patients, and families with professionalism and compassion.

Required:

  • Associate's degree (required)
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years RN experience
  • Current RN license
  • BLS (required or obtained within first week)
  • ACLS (within 6 months of hire)
  • Handle With Care certification (within 6 months of hire)
