How you'll contribute 

sleep technician who excels in this role:

  • Provides care for patients undergoing sleep studies and sleep disorder treatment.

  • Works under the general supervision of the clinical director (M.D., D.O., or PhD) or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders.

  • Prepares for the arrival of the patient by setting up and preparing the equipment for the ordered test.

  • Interviews patient to determine sleep disorder issues and to explain testing procedures.

  • Performs testing and any additional testing required for sleep disorder that is noted.
    Scores, interprets, and reports results of sleep studies.

  • Educates patients about test results, sleep disorders, community support groups, and available resources.

  • Prepares, calibrates, repairs, and maintains equipment required for testing.

  • Determines and reports needed repairs and replacements.

  • Maintains proper supplies to care for patients.

What we're looking for 
Applicants should have a current sleep technologist certification (RPSGT) in their practicing state. Additional requirements include:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association required

  • Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists  

  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent required

  • Registered Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) required

Minimum Work Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience preferred
