Minimum Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required

Essential Job Functions
- Ensures all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system accurately and timely
- Distributes and explains forms, documents, and educational handouts to patients or family members
- Meets with patients or caregivers before or after admission to obtain required information and documentation
- Provides explanation of registration processes and addresses questions or concerns
- Communicates with physician offices, nursing staff, and other departments regarding admissions and patient placement
- Verifies insurance benefits and obtains precertification/authorization when required
- Determines and collects required payments including co-pays and deductibles or refers patients to financial counselors when needed
Non-Essential Job Functions
