About the Role
The Respiratory Therapist evaluates and treats patients with breathing related conditions, performs diagnostic testing, and collaborates with physicians to develop effective treatment plans. This position plays a vital role in emergency response, patient education, and maintaining high standards of clinical practice.
How you'll contribute
Conduct diagnostic testing, including bedside PFTs, EKGs, blood gas analysis, and tobacco cessation education.
Deliver respiratory therapies, monitor patient response, and communicate changes in condition.
Respond to codes and emergent respiratory calls, providing rapid assessment and intervention.
Educate patients and families on respiratory health, medication use, and illness management.
Maintain and calibrate respiratory equipment, manage supplies, and support performance improvement efforts.
Provide care across neonatal through older adult populations while ensuring compliance with safety and infection control standards.
What we're looking for
Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
RRT license in the state of practice.
BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
Ability to work in physically demanding environments with exposure to biological and chemical hazards.
Strong critical thinking skills, reliability, and a commitment to patient centered care.
