POSITION SUMMARY:
The responsibility of the Senior Application Analyst is to provide a detailed level of analysis, design, testing, implementation and ongoing support of Business Systems and other related systems across the organization. The position supports other application analysts and is expected to take control and lead projects. A Senior Application Analyst also works closely with internal staff members as well as others like MD practices, facilities, and agencies to ensure that systems are reliable and responsive to corporate and each organization's needs. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication skills that include technical vocabulary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversees application ownership for Meditech BAR solutions and has a good understanding of patient account flow within non-clinical applications including Billing/Accounts Receivable.
- Engage in designing, implementing and maintenance of Business Systems and other related applications.
- Participates in and leads market level software projects as the subject matter expert for both the application and to Operations.
- Serves as liaison between markets and vendors on application support, customizations, and change management.
- Leads and works with Operations and users to optimize market specific processes, system usage and workflows to leverage best practices and application capabilities.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure that application functionality, workflow requirements and business needs are addressed and documented.
- Ability to interface effectively with other departments, hospital personnel, other HSC staff, and business contacts outside the organization
- Regular and reliable attendance.

QUALIFICATION, EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS:
Qualifications: 10+ years of healthcare IT or similar experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred
Knowledge:
The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with the Meditech Billing/Accounts Receivable (BAR) module, managing the end-to-end revenue cycle. This includes expertise in charge capture, claims submission, denial management, and payment posting. Experience should encompass both inpatient and outpatient billing workflows, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

The position is: Remote-Based
For those working on-site, they will have a well-lit, ventilated and climate-controlled office environment with routine office equipment; some equipment has moving mechanical parts. Noise level in the work environment is typical for an office and/or hospital environment
In hospital environment, the individual may be exposed to hazards and unusual elements, which may include but are not limited to bloodborne pathogens and / or contagious illnesses, toxic chemicals, and biohazardous materials which may require extensive safety precautions and the use of protective equipment.
This position can expect overnight travel by land and/or air according to the requirements below:
Travel Requirements: 25-50%
Normal business hours: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday-Friday. However, schedules may vary by business necessity. Remote workers are expected to be available during normal business hours, unless otherwise approved by the department leader(s).
