What you'll do:
As a Senior Financial Analyst, Managed Care, you will provide analytics and decision support by translating payer contract rates, volume, and utilization trends into actionable insights that guide revenue strategy, payer negotiations, and overall network performance. You will partner closely with Managed Care leaders to deliver high-quality modeling, reporting, and financial analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Model hospital, physician, and ancillary managed care contracts to quantify financial impact
- Analyze changes in fee-for-service and value-based payment methodologies
- Use BI tools to gather, manipulate, and interpret payer performance data
- Develop ad-hoc reporting using SQL, Power BI, and other query tools
- Conduct impact analyses, service line evaluations, litigation support, and pricing reviews
- Build and maintain reporting models with an understanding of business workflows and relational databases
- Review and abstract payer contract language that affects reimbursement
- Update standard managed care reports on a scheduled or ad-hoc basis
- Train and mentor other analytic team members
- Coordinate contract updates and ensure distribution to stakeholders
- Research and locate missing contract or payer documentation
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Perform other duties as assigned
What you'll need:
Education: Bachelor's Degree required (Business, Mathematics, Finance, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or another quantitative field).
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare.
License/Certifications: N/A
