How you'll contribute 

A Sleep Technician who excels in this role:

• Provides care for patients undergoing sleep studies and sleep disorder treatment.

• Prepares for the arrival of the patient by setting up and preparing the equipment for the ordered test.

• Interviews patient to determine sleep disorder issues and to explain testing procedures.

• Performs testing and any additional testing required for sleep disorder that is noted.

• Scores, interprets, and reports results of sleep studies.

• Educates patients about test results, sleep disorders, community support groups, and available resources.

• Prepares, calibrates, repairs, and maintains equipment required for testing.

• Determines and reports needed repairs and replacements.

• Maintains proper supplies to care for patients.

What we're looking for 
Applicants should have completed a program in polysomnography. Additional requirements include:

• Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
  Completion of a program in Polysomnography required

• Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association required

• Certification: by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent required

• Registered Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) required

• Minimum Work Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience preferred
