Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)/Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) is to provide pain management psychotherapy and behavioral health interventions to outpatient clients utilizing evidence-based interventions. This position is integrated into the Advanced Pain & Spine Institute (APSI). APSI is a multidisciplinary outpatient treatment center for adults (18+) who suffer from chronic pain. We provide our patients with skills that they can continue to use and develop through our program and at home. The successful candidate will effectively work with clients, their families, and care teams, to establish and achieve treatment plan goals. The LCSW/LCPC is a core member of the collaborative care team which includes the patient's medical providers, pain psychologist and PTs/OTs/SLP as well as the larger medical care team. 

The LCSW/LCPC is responsible for participating in: 

  • Identification and intervention for at-risk patients through screening for depression, anxiety, substance use and suicide risk
  • diagnosis and treatment planning
  • providing direct psychotherapy services to patients
  • providing proactive follow-up to treatment response
  • assist with linkage to community resources and address social determinants of health
  • document all patient interactions in EHR 
  • Supporting other Community outpatient clinics as assigned
  • Complete other tasks as assigned

 

What we're looking for

  • Education: Masters in Social Work or Counseling related field
  • Licenses: Must be licensed by the Montana Board of Behavioral Health (LCSW or LCPC)
  • Experience: Three (3) years' experience in a clinical setting performing clinical social work and/or counseling. Must be familiar with or have treated patients with chronic pain and addiction and can work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
