Job Summary:
Staffing Coordinator
Performs a variety of duties to support nursing administration. Reviews staffing needs on a daily basis, calculating staffing requirements based on flexible staffing patterns and patient acuity and maintains record of reports. Assists with payroll and timekeeping. Supervises Patient Sitters.
Essential Functions:
Reviews staffing levels to actively resolve staffing shortages using flexible staffing plan as guidelines for staffing requirements.
In timely manner, informs appropriate Director when staffing issues are anticipated and/or occur.
Determines, coordinates and supervises staffing assignments for patient sitters.
Provides recruitment, direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to Patient Sitters. Performs or assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
Assesses and ensures quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs. Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
Composes, types, and transcribes correspondence, forms, reports, presentation materials and other written communications.
Receives, screens, and routes visitors and telephone calls. Responds to, escalates, and follows up on inquiries and problems as appropriate.
Schedules/coordinates meetings, conferences, special events, and appointments.
Maintains assigned calendar(s).
Maintains files and office equipment.
Orders and stocks supplies.
Education: High School Diploma or GED Preferred; Associate's Degree Preferred
