How you'll contribute
A Staffing Coordinator who excels in this role:
- Supports nursing administration by coordinating daily staffing needs, calculating requirements based on patient acuity and flexible staffing models, and maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Proactively monitors staffing levels and resolves shortages in alignment with established staffing plans.
- Communicates anticipated or actual staffing issues to the appropriate Director in a timely manner.
- Determines, coordinates, and oversees staffing assignments for Patient Sitters to ensure appropriate coverage.
- Recruits, orients, trains, coaches, and mentors Patient Sitters; assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Assesses and ensures the quality of services delivered, supports staff development initiatives, and promotes compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Prepares and edits correspondence, reports, presentations, and other written communications.
- Receives, screens, and routes visitors and telephone calls; responds to, escalates, and follows up on inquiries and issues as appropriate.
- Schedules and coordinates meetings, conferences, special events, and appointments.
- Maintains assigned calendars, files, and office equipment.
- Orders, tracks, and stocks office and departmental supplies..
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Applicants should have a High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree is preferred. Additional requirements include:
