Supply Chain Technician

Schedule: this is a PRN (as needed schedules)

During the first 6 weeks there is an immediate need for a linen clerk and in addition to other task. The work schedule for the first 6 weeks will be 7am-3pm MST.

Salary Range: $15-$18

How you'll contribute

Responsible for stocking and maintaining supplies across hospital departments using computer-assisted tools and standard inventory practices to support efficient patient care operations. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.

Essential Functions

  • Performs periodic cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory; adjusts inventory records as needed.
  • Stocks units with office and medical supplies, prepares requisitions to maintain par levels.
  • Receives shipments, logs receipts, enters data into the inventory system, delivers items to departments or other facilities, and reports/documents errors or damages to management.
  • Answers the telephone, receiving dock, and walk-up window professionally; routes calls/messages appropriately.
  • Completes clerical/computer tasks that support patient care delivery.
  • Processes outgoing mail.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Additional duties during first 6 weeks include: 

The Linen Clerk role includes (but is not limited to) distribution of clean linens to departments, evaluation of rejected linens to verify rejection cause and quantity, calculation of linen quantities and need for new linen orders, etc.

Distribution Clerk role includes (but is not limited to) review of pick sheets, analysis of point of care area supply quantities, distribution from the storeroom to point of care areas, performing cycle counts and subinventory transfers, supply quantity on hand estimations and product reorder recommendations, etc.

Receiving Clerk role includes (but is not limited to) receiving of supplies delivered by shipping companies from distributors and manufacturers, restocking of storeroom shelves, delivery of department specific supplies received, receiving of all supplies delivered into the supply chain system, etc.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma preferred.
  • Certifications: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment. Ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple computer systems. Effective English communication (read, write, speak, and understand). Ability to complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.
