Required Skills:

Education: 

  • High School diploma. 

Essential Functions 

  • Performs periodic cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory; adjusts inventory records as needed. 

  • Stocks units with office and medical supplies; prepares requisitions to maintain par levels. 

  • Receives shipments, logs receipts, enters data into the inventory system, delivers items to departments or other facilities, and reports/documents errors or damages to management. 

  • Answers the telephone, receiving dock, and walk-up window professionally; routes calls/messages appropriately. 

  • Completes clerical/computer tasks that support patient care delivery. 

  • Processes outgoing mail. 

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic. Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens may be present.  

  • Force: Pushing/pulling 0- 25 lbs constantly; 26- 75 lbs frequently; >75 lbs occasionally. Non-patient lifting/carrying 0- 25 lbs constantly; 26- 75 lbs frequently; >75 lbs rarely.  

  • Senses: Audible speech and hearing acuity constantly; depth perception constantly; color distinction rarely; near and far vision constantly; smell and taste rarely.  

  • Biological/Chemical: Generally rare exposure to biohazardous waste, blood/body fluids, communicable diseases; rare exposure to asbestos/lead, cytotoxic chemicals, dust, hazardous chemicals, gases/vapors/fumes, hazardous medications; latex exposure rare.
