Canyon Vista Medical Center was founded in 1963 as Western Baptist Osteopathic Hospital on what was then the eastern edge of Sierra Vista. Growth and advancing technology dictated building our new 177,000 square foot hospital at 5700 E Hwy 90 completed in 2015.

 

How you'll contribute 

This Intensive Outpatient IOP Therapist supports the department's mission by providing high-quality clinical, operational, and administrative services in an outpatient behavioral health setting. The role is responsible for conducting individual, group, and family therapy; actively participating in treatment planning, discharge, and aftercare coordination; and maintaining ongoing communication with patients, families, and referral sources in compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2. The clinician collaborates closely with the interdisciplinary treatment team, including physicians, nursing, and utilization review staff, to address treatment progress, level-of-care needs, and authorization requirements. Additional responsibilities include completing timely and accurate clinical documentation and assessments, supporting vital signs and UDS collection as needed, assisting with care coordination, and responding effectively to crises to ensure patient safety. The position requires a master's degree in a related field, appropriate state licensure, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, compliant, and patient-centered care.

What we're looking for
Applicants should have 

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or equivalent required. 

  • Current clinical or social work license as required by state regulations. 

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

  • Handle with care certification within 30 days of hire.
