The Vice President of Clinical Integration & Care Delivery is responsible for leading the enterprise-wide redesign of clinical care delivery to enable sustainable growth, resiliency, and high-quality outcomes across Lifepoint. This role owns the clinical transformation agenda required to support ambulatory growth, physician services evolution, and new operating models in an evolving reimbursement and regulatory environment, including OBBBA. This physician executive designs standardized, scalable clinical operating models that address the majority of the enterprise needs while allowing for appropriate market-level variation.
How you'll contribute
A Vice President, Clinical Integration & Care Delivery who excels in this role:
Enterprise Clinical Operating Model Design
- Lead the transformation of enterprise clinical care delivery models to support ambulatory growth and physician alignment.
- Partners with the VP of Clinical Transformation to understand and support efforts to stabilize and optimize professional fees.
- Define clinically appropriate, standardized operating models that address ~75% of enterprise needs, with intentional flexibility for market-specific requirements.
- Establish resilient clinical frameworks that reduce dependency on local workarounds and individual market strategies.
Clinical Quality, Safety, and Adoption
- Ensure all transformation efforts maintain or enhance clinical quality, patient safety, and outcomes.
- Partner closely with physician leaders, clinical councils, and quality teams to ensure changes are clinically credible and supported by clinicians.
- Translate enterprise goals into clinical workflows that physicians and care teams can realistically adopt and sustain.
Ambulatory & Professional Fee Transformation
- In partnership with VP of Ambulatory Operations and Transformation, re-design ambulatory operating model to support growth, efficiency, and financial sustainability.
- In partnership with VP of Clinical Transformation, address professional fee structures, clinical productivity, and care team models in a way that aligns clinical practice with enterprise financial objectives.
- Anticipate and design for future regulatory and reimbursement environments, including OBBBA impacts.
Enterprise Solution Ownership & Handoff
- Own the end-to-end clinical solutioning process: problem framing, design, testing, validation, and readiness for scale.
- Define clear clinical standards, guardrails, and success metrics prior to hand-off to operations.
- Partner with the VP of Ambulatory Operations Transformation to ensure seamless transition from clinical design to operational deployment.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Change Management
- Build and sustain strong relationships with market CEOs, CMOs, CNOs, and physician enterprise leaders to drive alignment and adoption.
- Lead change management strategies that support clinician buy‑in, workflow redesign, and cultural adoption of new care models.
- Serve as a visible clinical champion for transformation across the enterprise, communicating purpose, progress, and expectations.
- Support development of future physician leaders by modeling effective clinical-operational partnership and systems thinking.
Data, Analytics, & Technology Enablement
- Partner with analytics, IT, and digital innovation teams to ensure clinical operating models are supported by appropriate data, technology, and workflow tools.
- Use data-driven insights to identify performance variation, prioritize transformation opportunities, and validate impact.
- Ensure redesigned care models integrate effectively with EHR workflows, digital front door capabilities, and clinical decision support.

What we're looking for
Applicants should have an MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license and current board certification. Additional requirements include:
- Advanced training is strongly preferred (MBA, MHA, MPH, MS in Healthcare Quality/Safety, or similar)
- 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in a health system, physician enterprise, or large ambulatory network
- Demonstrated success leading clinical transformation, care model redesign, or large-scale operational change
- Experience operating in a matrixed environment with shared accountability across operations, quality, finance, and IT
- Proven ability to influence without authority and drive adoption among physicians and care teams
- Experience in a multi-hospital or multi-market health system (preferred)
- Travel is expected to be in the 25-50% range
